Industry Concrete Location Liberty Hill, Texas USA Number of Employees 150 Project for Texas State University Bobcat Stadium Project Length 20 months Project Value $33 million On Center Software Solution On-Screen Takeoff® C apitol Concrete Contractors (CCC) was founded in 2003 by Sandra and Jordan Moore in Liberty Hill, Texas. CCC specializes in all aspects of concrete work includ- ing precast concrete, structured walls, drilled piers, grade beams, slab on grade, elevated decks, topping slab, and concrete pilings. The company believes that successful businesses are built on strong client relationships and excellent communication. This belief is core to their goal of exceeding expectations of general contractors and project owners. CCC concentrates on the details which ensure quality of work and informed customers. The company is committed to completing work in a timely manner, at competitive rates, and with the highest of quality. The CCC portfolio extends across the regional area and includes a variety of building types including commercial, retail, hospitality, and a specialty in sporting arenas. The increasing number of projects and the competitive nature of the industry was making manual takeoff and bidding processes challenging to complete in a timely fashion. This issue and CCC's focus on details led CCC to automate essential elements of concrete construction—quantitative measurement and estimating. The value obtained by leveraging On Center Software's On-Screen Takeoff® was immediate. Better control and more extensive knowledge over how many and what types of materials were needed saved money and gave a precise line of sight into what it would take to complete the project successfully. CCC also experienced a 50% reduction of time for estimating—allowing them to bid more, while increasing their bid-to-win ratio. S TA D I U M E X PA N S I O N Texas State University, in 2011-2012, initiated the next phase of construction for Bobcat Stadium (TSU-BCS); adding a seating capacity of 30,000. The $33 million expansion closed in the north end zone. The stadium was built in such a way to allow further expansion through additional phases of incremental improvements. The 46,000 square foot expansion included additional seating and an upgrade to the press box. CCC was the concrete contractor of choice, completing the project within budget and in time to host the first game of the 2012 football season. Given the tight schedule for completion, it was essential that CCC quickly and accurately deliver the best bid at first submission.
