Kruger in Rochester, MN. In 1981, it was incorporated as Queen City Construction, Inc. (QCC). A fami- ly-owned company, the current executive team consists of siblings Kyle, Stan, and Susan Krueger. QCC specializes in EIFS, DEFS, cold-formed metal framing, light gauge metal framing, exterior gypsum sheathing, gypsum drywall, insulation, and cultured stone for commercial projects such as hotels, hospitals, schools, strip malls, and office buildings. Being in business for close to 60 years results in QCC building lasting rela- tionships with customers and general contractors due to their commitment to quality work. With the newest Queen City Panel division addition, QCC is partnering with STO Panel Technologies to expand its offering to specializing in exterior building panels. The exterior wall panel systems eliminate the need for winter heating and covering, which is costly in Minnesota. QCC prides itself on providing exceptional service and workmanship, while staying current with building trends and installation methods. This dedication guarantees the successful launch of the new division. To accommodate the growing student base, RCS decided to build a new LHS facility on 23.5 acres of land in Rochester, MN. LHS's Academic wing includes state-of-the-art classrooms and a 7,000 sq. ft. library and media center. The Fine Arts wing includes a 625-seat auditorium and the Athletic wing includes a gym with seating for 15,000 people. The Chapel has a 150-person occupancy for prayer services. The General Contractor included QCC in the budgetting process throughout the construction of LHS. Due to multiple change orders, the LHS project was challenging. QCC tackled these challenges successfully by using On Center Software's automation solutions: On- Screen Takeoff® and Quick Bid®. Although the construction of LHS was new, the school didn't want to lose sight of its rich heritage and made sure that the new building maintained Catholic spirituality in the overall design. In support of preserving history, QCC installed 100 year old stained glass windows from the old building into the metal frame casing in A Stunning Education Facility Project OV E R CA M E C H A L L E N G E S D U E TO M U LT I P L E C H A N G E O R D E R S T H A N K S TO AU TO M AT I O N S O L U T I O N S
